Análisis socio-ecológico de los determinantes sociales asociados con la diabetes entre los niños Latinos en los Estados Unidos y sus efectos en la salud física: una revisión de la literatura
For this paper, I used the social-ecological model to analyze the social determinants associated with diabetes within Latino kids in the United States, and its effects on their physical health. This was the first literature review that I had to write in Spanish and it taught me a lot about how about productive research and how to find articles relevant to my topic.
Análisis del sistema sanitario chileno: Éxitos y desafíos relacionados con un sistema dual de seguro nacional y seguro libre vs. privado
For my final Spanish class at Clemson, I analyzed Chile's healthcare system by looking at not only the structure of the system, but by looking at data from chosen indicators to measure outcomes such as efficiency and equity. This was a semester long paper that tied directly with what we were learning each week in class. Additionally, through this class and project, I was able to learn more about health administration and its many roles.
